Treating Adolescents, Young Adults and Families

My practice focuses on treating adolescents & young adults struggling with anxiety and depression.

My practice focuses on treating adolescents & young adults struggling with anxiety and depression.

I work with clients through a lens of warmth, humor and understanding, integrating my experience as a mother, friend, clinician and partner to help clients struggling with anxiety and depression.

Using empathy, compassion and curiosity I help my clients on a journey to better understand themselves and how they interact with others in their life.   By understanding why and how we make decisions, clients can make more informed choices in the future leading to deeper relationships with ourselves and others to work towards overall happiness.

Parents play an integral role in the treatment process.  I work with parents to help guide them through the challenges of raising kids who struggle with these issues.  Therapeutic, educational and supportive methods combine to help develop actionable techniques to stabilize mood, increase effective behaviors, and develop healthy relationships. Together we identify target areas of concern and develop treatment plans that address obstacles and goals.

Mental Health Services & Treatments

"Providing high quality care for clients is my top priority.  I believe that any intervention must rest on a trusted and collaborative relationship between client and therapist."

Experience & Professional Network

As a licensed clinical social worker, I have been helping clients in Maryland and Washington DC for more than 10 years.  My experience working in an IOP (Intensive outpatient program) provided the opportunity to work with a variety of clients struggling with intense challenges. I have developed a collaborative network of Psychologists, Pediatricians, Psychiatrists, Nutritionists and fellow Clinicians in the DMV to help create a comprehensive treatment plan for clients. A treatment plan is designed for each individual client based upon their specific needs and presenting challenges.
